The Tree Lighting Celebration at LMU is always a special evening. There’s hot chocolate, music by LMU’s a cappella group NoteTORIOUS, horse drawn carriage rides, and of course, the tree lighting.
While at the tree lighting, I noticed that there is now a cable attaching the baby Jesus to the nativity scene in Alumni Mall. This is probably because it was stolen a few years ago. The one in University Hall looks safely secured as well.
The tree lighting is such a special event because the campus, already one of the most beautiful in the country, becomes so much more beautiful and festive with the addition of all the holiday decorations.
