Sacred Heart Chapel

The Most Beautiful College Campus

LMU was founded in 1911 and encompasses approximately 150 acres high atop a bluff, providing unbelievable views of everything from Marina del Rey and the Pacific Ocean to the Los Angeles Basin and the Hollywood sign.

Every day at LMU is an amazing experience.  There are so many reasons why I’m happy to be here and why I selected LMU in the first place, in spite of being accepted at several universities.  LMU has a world renowned Film Program, small class sizes, caring and accessible professors, etc.  It also has something that won me over the first time I came for a visit.  In my opinion, LMU is the most beautiful campus in the country.  They say beauty’s in the eye of the beholder, but I guarantee that every eye will find something beautiful here.

Whether it’s the open grass area and lush greenery of the Sunken Garden, or the majesty of the Palm Tree Walk, or the sweeping views of the area from the bluff like those from the Sculpture Garden, there’s something for everyone.  The beauty of the campus is enhanced by pristine cleanliness and a mix of classically inspired structures like the Sacred Heart Chapel and architectural wonders like the 1,000,000 sq. ft. University Hall and the new state-of-the-art Hannon Library.

We have a piece of the Berlin Wall (which we like to point out, is bigger than Chapman’s), a fountain students dump each other in on their birthdays, a 50’s style diner called Iggy’s, and a huge recreation center and gym.

Take a look at the campus I’m lucky enough to enjoy every day.

(Keep checking my blog.  I’ll give you a tour of the School of Film and Television very soon.)
